I am thinking about buying it and then ordering a diamond separately and replacing the aquamarine. The only thing is, I wouldn’t know what carat diamond to buy. Does anyone know if its possible to tell from the information on that page how large a diamond I should look for? thanks!
It would be easier if you took the aquamarine out of the setting measured it and then ordered a diamond with the same measurments. BTW aquamarine is less dense than a diamond so if your aquamarine weighed a carat for example the corresponding diamond of the same size would weigh significantly more. Good Luck
My sister has inherited a very nice light blue aquamarine and silver ring. I like it so much that I would like to purchase one myself. Is it an expensive gem/stone? This one is a rectangular cut and is a 1/2 inch by a 1/4 in diameter. Thanks!
It’s actually not as expensive of a gem, but they are beautiful. I have a really beautiful square cut. If you want it as an investment piece, you’re gonna pay a little more. But even places like Wal-Mart have decent little pieces or kohls…somewhere like that. I LOVE mine so enjoy!
